Through the integrated SERCOS interface, the 2094-BC01-M01-S may be connected in linear or ring topology using Fiber optic media. This enables high-speed data communication and provides the highest susceptibility to electrical noise. The 2094-BC01-M01-S supports Safe Torque-Off (STO) functionality. This integrated safety feature is certified at ISO 13849-1 PLe/SIL3. If compliance to EN954-1 Category 3 is needed, an external safety relay may be needed. The STO’s main functionality is mainly used to prevent drive restart after the safety circuit is tripped.
