Superiority products 1756-RMC1 fiber-optic communication cable Allen Bradley

The Allen-Bradley 1756-RMC1 is a fiber-optic communication cable required for connecting ControlLogix redundancy modules. It has a length of one meter or 3.28 feet. It is part of the series of Bulletin 1756-RMCx Cable Series that come in a variety of lengths. These are compatible with both standard and extreme-environment modules. Building a ControlLogix Redundant Controller System requires one or two of these cables. Because redundancy modules and chassis do not ship with these connectors, order them separately before system assembly.

The 1756-RMC1 Redundancy Module Fiber-optic Cable is connected at the bottom of the module, in a downward orientation. Before connecting this, remove its protective caps. Because it contains optical fibers, do not make sharp bends in the cable. The LC connector coupler can be used to keep the cable from bending. This also allows easy connection and disconnection without needing to remove the module from the chassis.

Make sure that the location that the 1756-RMC1 Connector runs through is not prone to activities that can cause it to be run over, abraded, cut, or otherwise damaged. A redundant fiber cable system can tolerate one of multiple faults on a single channel. Network operation would become unpredictable if a fault occurred on both channels.
