About 1203-cn1
The 1203-CN1 module from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation is a 1203 series ControlNet communication module. It allows industrial devices to communicate over the ControlNet network. This module is meant to be an interface between the ControlNet network and any device with a SCANport port (the 1203-CN1 module is also known as a “SCANport peripheral device” because of its compatibility with the SCANport.) Note that the 1203-CN1 module can only connect to 1 SCANport device at a time. The module’s components include DIN rail mounting connectors, ControlNet coax connectors, LED indicators, a ControlNet network access port, and an RS-232 serial port.
Superiority products 1203-CN1 1203 series ControlNet communication module Allen-Bradley
- The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1203-CN1 ControlNet communication module uses a SCANport cable and either 1 or 2 ControlNet cable taps to make a connection between a single SCANport device and the ControlNet network. Different SCANport cables are available that are appropriate for different kinds of connections to different SCANport devices. The module cannot communicate unless the SCANport device that it is connected to is powered up and operational. The module and its connected devices must always be protected from ESD or electrostatic discharge. The 1203-CN1 communication module can be removed when necessary, but in order for the module to be removed safely, the power supply must be turned off and it and all the cables that are connected to the module must be disconnected first. Then the connection tabs that hold the 1203-CN1 module on the DIN rail can be released and the module can be removed.
