At the ongoing 2021 Smart Expo, the Industrial Internet exhibition area has become a “show” for enterprises to compete to show their core competitiveness: new technologies such as digital twins and edge computing are amazing, and new models such as flexible manufacturing, network collaboration, and remote operation are emerging in endlessly… Reflecting the accelerated development of China’s industrial Internet industry, it is accelerating the empowerment of thousands of industries and driving the quality and efficiency of the manufacturing industry.
Last year, China’s industrial Internet, the industrial scale reached more than 910 billion
In recent years, the industrial Internet and the traditional manufacturing industry frequently “hand in hand” to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. The “China Internet Development Report (2021)” shows that the scale of China’s industrial Internet industry will reach more than 910 billion yuan in 2020.
Behind the rapid development of the industrial Internet industry is the pull of a multi-level systematic platform system. According to Hu Jianbo, chief engineer of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the number of industrial Internet platforms in China has increased rapidly in recent years, and more than 100 industrial Internet platforms with industry characteristics and regional influence have been formed, the number of connected industrial equipment has exceeded 73 million units, and the industrial App has exceeded 500,000, becoming an important booster for the high-quality development of traditional industries.
At this Smart Expo, Geega Geely Industrial Internet Platform was officially released. The first batch of five major solutions, including factory digitization, digital operation, C2M flexible customization, smart travel, and dual carbon management, will fully assist the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises.
Logo parsing is the foundation, with 14 million parsing sessions per day
Driven by a large number of platforms, with the help of “a network”, thousands of lines and industries are competing to “use the number of wisdom on the cloud”. Li Qiqi, director of the operation center of the National Top Node (Chongqing) of the Industrial Internet Identification Analysis of the China Information and Communication Institute, told reporters that identification analysis is the basis of the industrial Internet, and the number of registered identification of the top node has exceeded 4 billion, and the daily analysis amount reached 14 million times; Last year, the number of registrations and parsing was only 38 million and 146,000, respectively. In just one year, industrial Internet applications have accelerated significantly.
In the dispatching center of Chongqing Construction Engineering South Concrete Co., LTD., all orders, production, quality inspection, logistics and other information are collected on a large screen, and the old industry is also quickly embracing the “new intelligent manufacturing”. “In the past, in the industry, ‘production depends on roar’ and ‘detection by hand’, after accessing the industrial Internet and implementing intelligent transformation, production and logistics processes have realized intelligent control, and efficiency and capacity utilization have been significantly improved.” Said Liu Fuchun, general manager of the company.
“5G+ Industrial Internet” has covered a wide range of industries
“5G+ Industrial Internet” is the main battlefield for the innovation and development of industrial Internet. At this Expo, many participants believed that with the continuous expansion of intelligent mines, smart factories, unmanned driving and other application scenarios, “5G+ industrial Internet” is changing from “model rooms” to “commercial housing”, and the development of the industry is entering a period of acceleration.
Chen Yurong, deputy general manager of China Mobile Shanghai Industry Research Institute, said that China Mobile’s “5G+ Industrial Internet” project has widely covered all walks of life and industrial segments such as factories, power grids, metallurgy, mining, and ports, helping to improve quality and efficiency. “For example, we support a company in Jiangsu to apply 5G to industrial quality inspection, and through the association of cameras and 5G acquisition, the efficiency is increased by 30 times, and the workload of workers is greatly reduced.” Chen Yu Rong said.
Empowered by the industrial Internet, enterprises are undergoing digital transformation, but for a large number of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises, it is still a long way to “go to the cloud on the platform” and implement digital transformation. Zhang Xiaotong, chief engineer of the China Industrial Internet Research Institute, said that the weak foundation of transformation, the lack of digital talents, and the pressure of investment are restricting the application of industrial Internet in small and medium-sized enterprises.
In addition, industrial Internet platform enterprises are often more inclined to serve large enterprises, and the power and ability to serve small and medium-sized enterprises need to be enhanced. The industry suggests that platform enterprises should speed up the development of digital products for small and medium-sized enterprises, and help small and medium-sized enterprises to “use data to empower the cloud”.
