The digital transformation enables the fine management of water, electricity and gas use, and the combination of energy planning and production planning helps the company reduce its carbon emissions by 33,000 tons a year.

Zhang Zhuowen said that since the implementation of the digital solution of “coal, electricity and aluminum integration” in 2022, the annual saving benefit of Baimine Debao base, which has a capacity of 300,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum, has exceeded 80 million yuan, the annual carbon emission has been reduced by more than 100,000 tons, and the comprehensive efficiency of factory equipment has been increased by 19%. “We are speeding up the replication of experience, and are currently helping Baikuang Tian Yang Base with 500,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum production capacity to create a benchmark for industry intelligence.”
According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, nearly 8,000 digital workshops and smart factories have been built around the country, of which 209 have become intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories with international advanced levels. After the transformation, the production efficiency of these demonstration plants has increased by 34.8% on average, the rate of defective products has decreased by 27.4% on average, and carbon emissions have decreased by 21.2% on average.
