On August 2, Wang Hong, deputy director of the first Department of equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at the 2023 World Robot Conference press conference that in the first half of this year, China’s robot industry as a whole maintained a stable growth trend. In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will enhance the innovation drive level of the robot industry, plan to promote the chain development, and vigorously promote the high-quality development of the robot industry with robot + application action as the starting point.
Su Guobin, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, said that the special action policy of the Beijing robot industry, several measures to promote the innovation and development of the robot industry in Beijing, and the action plan for the development of the robot industry in the economic development zone will be officially released during the 2023 World Robot Conference. It is reported that the 2023 World Robot Conference will be held in Beijing from August 16 to 22.
Improve industrial policy
Since this year, China’s robot industry policy has been introduced. According to Wang Hong, at the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued the Implementation Plan of the “Robot +” application Action “to accelerate the expansion of the application of robots in all walks of life. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with the departments of agriculture, medical care, mining and public security, has established the policy of robot + application coordination to help the rapid development of smart agriculture, smart medical care, smart mining and smart public security. Beijing, Hebei, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other places have been promoted to issue a series of special policies on robots, and the policy system has been continuously improved.
Taking Beijing as an example, Su Guobin said that in June this year, Beijing issued the “Beijing Robot Industry Innovation and Development Action Plan (2023-2025)”, which clarified the high-end leadership and focused on the development of robot “1+4” product system; Stable chain and strong chain, and strive to improve the key support ability of robots; Benchmarking, fully implement the “robot +” application demonstration; Innovative services to further improve the development ecology of the robot industry; Cluster development, optimize the spatial layout of the robot industry in five aspects, and promote the innovation and development of the robot industry in Beijing.
Su Guobin said that in order to implement the action plan, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology has studied and formulated a number of measures to promote the innovation and development of the robot industry in Beijing, a number of measures to solve the main problems of the development of the robot industry in Beijing as the guidance, from the support of enterprise innovation, promote industrial agglomeration, accelerate scene application and strengthen the factor protection of four aspects of a number of specific measures. It is scheduled to be officially released at the 2023 World Robot Conference.
In the first half of this year, China’s robot industry as a whole maintained a stable growth trend. According to Wang Hong, in the first half of this year, China’s industrial robot production reached 222,000 sets, an increase of 5.4%; The output of service robots reached 3.53 million sets, an increase of 9.6%. In 2022, the operating income of China’s robot industry exceeded 170 billion yuan, the output of industrial robots reached 443,000 sets, the output of service robots reached 6.458 million sets, and the installed capacity of industrial robots exceeded 50% of the global total, ranking first in the world for nine consecutive years.
Wang Hong said that the breadth of robot applications in China has accelerated, and independent industrial robots in the fields of handling, welding, spraying and other fields have widely penetrated into emerging industries such as new energy vehicles, photovoltaic manufacturing, and lithium battery manufacturing. Service robots have achieved large-scale application in medical and health care, construction, elderly care, housing and other industries, and special robots are playing an increasingly important role in scientific investigation, emergency rescue and other aspects.
