For the digital and intelligent upgrading of China’s process industry, the reliable “brain” is installed, and the central control technology relies on core products such as independently developed distributed control system (DCS) and safety instrument system (SIS), and steps up the level in the field of automatic control system. In 2022, the company’s DCS domestic market share reached 36.7%, ranking first for 12 consecutive years; SIS and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) also achieved market share for the first time.
The industrial automation control system is like the “brain” and “nerve center” of modern industry. If the DCS is compared to a feature phone, then the i-OMC system based on the DCS architecture is like a smart phone, which plays an important role in stabilizing product quality, improving product production efficiency, and reducing production energy consumption and material consumption.
From a global perspective, from the catch-up of distributed control systems to grow into a strong competitor, the strategic vision of central control technology is far more than that. Company vice president, secretary of the board of directors, financial person Fang Yongsheng recently accepted the Shanghai Securities News reporter interview said: “In the future, the company will be the core supplier of automation, digitalization and intelligent products and solutions in the global industrial market, create an industrial whole process intelligent ecology, realize the leap from industry 3.0 to industry 4.0, and actively explore new business opportunities across fields and multi-industry EBO.”
According to the latest disclosed performance forecast, Zhongkong Technology is expected to achieve revenue of 3.64 billion yuan in the first half of this year, an increase of 36.48%; The net profit returned to the mother was 497 million yuan, an increase of 58.57%
Independent innovation knocks on the door of customers
Zhongcong Technology was founded in 1999, started with DCS business. At that time, the entrepreneurial team led by Professor Chu Jian aimed to “become the Honeywell of China” and chose a road of independent innovation from the very beginning.
In the early days, Zhongcong Technology provided industrial automation products and services to small and medium-sized enterprises in the domestic process industry. Through the innovative development of SUPCONJX series DCS with independent copyright, JX-100 and JX-300 products have been launched successively in three years, and a large number of chemical, petrochemical, electric power and metallurgical industries have been obtained, successfully breaking the absolute control of foreign enterprises in the field of industrial automation.
In 2007, with the help of large-scale DCS products, China Control Technology won the bid for the 5 million tons/year refining project of Sinopec Wuhan Branch, which has opened the door of “big customers” and gradually expanded the customer list from small and medium-sized chemical enterprises to large central enterprises such as Sinopec and petrochina. At the same time, the company’s main products have also shifted from DCS to DCS and other products, covering field instruments, safety grids, control valves, industrial software and other automation products.
According to the data, there are 3.8 million manufacturing enterprises in China, more than 400,000 manufacturing enterprises and more than 50,000 process industrial enterprises. At the same time, China’s industrial digitization rate is only 17%, while the number of developed countries is 50%.
It should be changed in time. Since 2016, China Control Technology has focused on the industrial digital needs of the process industry, deeply cultivated DCS, SIS, PLC (networked programmable controller) and other automation control systems, and vigorously laid out and developed industrial software, industry solutions, instruments and other products, forming a relatively complete “industry 3.0+4.0” product and solution architecture.
In recent years, grasping the tuyere of new energy development, central control technology has also expanded a number of major projects in this field. Such as Ningxia Runyang silicon material 50,000 tons/year high purity polysilicon project, Huayou Cobalt ternary precursor and ternary cathode material project, Guangxi Bmo Technology 50,000 tons/year high nickel type power battery ternary cathode material and 100,000 tons/year ternary precursor material integration project, Zhejiang Times lithium materials ternary precursor project.
