It supports implementation of recipes for batching applications wherein up to 50 recipes can be stored.
The color transmissive TFT matrix LCD touchscreen measures 7 inches, has 65K colors and has a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480. It is in a widescreen format with a display area of 6.05 x 3.41 inches. It also has an LED backlight and the display has a minimum lifespan of 40,000 hours, or 5 years, at 25 degrees Celsius. The terminal comes with a 256 MB internal storage and a 256 MB DDR RAM, and the processor has an 800 MHz CPU speed. The 2711R-T7T has a resistive touch input type and comes with a microSD slot for additional memory. If users plan to use a microSD card, make sure to use industrial grade cards. It is compatible with Class 10 SDHC microSD cards of up to 32 GB. The terminal’s USB 2.0 and Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) ports allow users to connect to different networks. This terminal also has separate RS-232 and RS-422/RS-485 connectors as well as a real-time clock with a battery included. The 2711R-T7T measures 5.67 x 7.75 x 2.13 inches and weighs 0.651 kilograms or 1.44 pounds.
The 2711R-T7T terminal is optimized to be compatible with the MicroLogix, Micro800, and CompactLogix 5370 (except for CompactLogix 5370-L37) controllers. The terminal displays alarm messages with embedded variables and it also has uploading and downloading capabilities for data or parameter settings with recipe capability. Fifty recipe files are present with this terminal. The nominal input voltage of the 2711R-T7T is 24 Volts DC while its input voltage range is from 18 to 32 Volts DC. It also has a maximum power consumption of 11 Watts or 0.40 Amps at 24 Volts DC and a heat dissipation of 34 BTU/hour. Note that it requires that the environment’s ambient temperature fall within a range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. The terminal’s operating temperature ranges from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius and its non-operating temperature range is from -25 to 75 degrees Celsius. It also has an operating vibration of 2 G at 10 to 500 Hertz, an operating shock of 15 G, and non-operating shock of 30 G. Its non-condensing relative humidity is 5 to 95%.
