From January to July, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 3.8% year-on-year.
In July, the value added of mining increased by 1.3 per cent year on year, manufacturing by 3.9 per cent and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water by 4.1 per cent.
By economic type, in July, the added value of state-owned enterprises increased by 3.4% year on year; Joint-stock enterprises increased by 5.0%, and enterprises invested by foreign investors and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises decreased by 1.8%. Private companies grew 2.5 percent.
By industry, in July, 23 of the 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth in added value. Among them, the coal mining and washing industry increased by 0.4%, the oil and natural gas extraction industry increased by 4.2%, the agricultural and sideline food processing industry increased by 3.0%, the wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry decreased by 3.1%, the textile industry decreased by 0.3%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 9.8%, and the non-metallic mineral products industry decreased by 3.4%. Ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 15.6%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 8.9%, general equipment manufacturing decreased by 1.4%, special equipment manufacturing increased by 1.5%, automobile manufacturing increased by 6.2%, railway, shipping, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing increased by 1.0%. The manufacturing of electrical machinery and equipment increased by 10.6 percent, the manufacturing of computers, communications and other electronic equipment increased by 0.7 percent, and the production and supply of electricity and heat increased by 4.6 percent.
By product, in July, 303 products out of 620 products increased year-on-year. 116.53 million tons of steel, an increase of 14.5%; 176.18 million tons of cement, down 5.7%; 10 kinds of non-ferrous metals 6.03 million tons, an increase of 4.2%; Ethylene 2.41 million tons, an increase of 5.2%; The number of automobiles was 2.324 million, down 3.8%, of which 752,000 were new energy vehicles, up 24.9%; The electricity output was 846.2 billion KWH, up 3.6%; Crude oil processing capacity was 63.13 million tons, up 17.4 percent.
In July, the sales rate of industrial enterprises was 97.8 percent, 0.1 percentage points higher than last year. Industrial enterprises achieved export delivery value of 1,202.3 billion yuan, a nominal decline of 6.4%.
