Approved by The State Council, the 2023 World Robot Conference opened on August 16. The conference will be held from August 16 to 22 at the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. With the theme of “Sharing the Future through Open Innovation”, the conference is hosted by Beijing Municipal People’s Government, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China Association for Science and Technology, and hosted by Chinese Society of Electronics, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone Administrative Committee. Beijing Youth Daily reporter learned that the conference has three major sections: forum, exhibition and competition. The forum invited scholars from Japan, Germany, South Korea, the United States, Canada and other countries to share their latest research results and application cases in the field of robotics, and there will be 320 expert representatives attending the forum. In the exhibition, more than 140 domestic and foreign robot companies brought nearly 600 exhibits to the exhibition, and more than 50 new products were launched in this expo, the number of which is the most in the past, covering the upstream and downstream links of the industrial chain, and the product categories are more diverse and the application scenarios are more extensive. Every day, more than 4,000 elite players from around the world will compete.
“Open Innovation for the Future” is the theme of the conference
With the theme of “Open innovation to enjoy the future”, the conference has three sections: forum, exhibition and competition, focusing on robot technology and industry frontier trends to exchange academic views, combining key scenes to show robot innovation and application to enable thousands of industries, and carrying out high-level competitions around brain-computer interface, human-machine collaboration and other content.
Since the first World Robot Conference in 2015, the main forum of the conference has been a grand gathering for top robotics experts, scholars and entrepreneurs at home and abroad to collide, share and exchange views. This year, the World Robot Conference started a new journey of internationalization, and once again welcomed many international guests to attend the main forum offline after three years, and conducted zero-distance communication and exchange with the audience, providing more direct and in-depth thinking for the development of robot technology.
The forum part consists of 6 main forums and nearly 30 special forums and supporting facilities
The main forum of this conference invited scholars from Japan, Germany, South Korea, the United States, Canada and other countries to share their latest research results and application cases in the field of robotics. At the same time, this year also invited experts and scholars from the Belt and Road countries, ASEAN countries and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions to exchange and share, in order to promote the cooperation and exchange of robot technology on a global scale.
This year’s forum consists of 6 main forums, nearly 30 special forums and supporting activities, including Jose Vieira, President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations, Alexander Vale, Chairman of the Research Committee of the International Federation of Robotics, Toshio Fukuda, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and general president of the 2020IEEE. Yao Qizhi, winner of the 2000 Turing Award and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Qiao Hong, President of the World Robot Cooperation Organization and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wang Yaonan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than 320 representatives of international organizations, well-known scientists and entrepreneurs attended the conference. Keynote reports and summit dialogues will be held on robot open cooperation, technology trends, industrial applications, and ecological construction.
