The 21st China International Equipment Manufacturing Expo opened in Shenyang, Liaoning province, on Sept 1. Hao Peng, Secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, Li Lecheng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Governor, and Li Yizhong, President of the China Federation of Industrial Economics, jointly launched the opening ceremony. Wang Xinwei, member of the Standing Committee of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Shenyang Municipal Party Committee, presided over the opening ceremony.

China International Equipment Manufacturing Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Expo) is the only national-level large-scale economic and trade exhibition in the field of equipment manufacturing in China. With the theme of “Building a global manufacturing ecology of innovation, collaboration and common development”, the Expo is composed of three major parts: exhibition, global Manufacturing Summit and important activities at the same time. More than 1,000 well-known enterprises in the equipment manufacturing industry from 11 countries and regions participated in the exhibition, bringing the top technology, advanced equipment and innovative solutions in the manufacturing field at home and abroad. Eight pavilions and eleven exhibition areas covering 110,000 square meters were newly unveiled, and the number of exhibitors and exhibition area reached a record high.

After the opening ceremony, Hao Peng and Li Lecheng toured the museum. At the exhibition, aviation equipment, CNC machine tools, robots, large petroleum and chemical equipment, electric power equipment and other products produced in Liaoning were unveiled, from large country heavy equipment to specialized and special new, fully demonstrating the deep heritage and industrial strength of the province’s equipment manufacturing industry. Hao Peng understood the research and development and industrial application of key technologies, and listened to the detailed introduction of the Ministry of Science and Technology staff in front of the Ministry of Science and Technology booth.

Combined with the theme of this expo, the booth of the Ministry of Science and Technology to the national major science and technology projects and science popularization as the theme, the external display of 66 major science and technology projects and science popularization facilities, through physical exhibits, three-dimensional animation, such as scale models and graphic pictures, so that the public in the interaction to feel the charm of science and technology.

After the opening ceremony, the main forum of the Global Manufacturing Summit was held. This Expo focused on the main line of in-depth promotion of structural adjustment “three big articles”, combined with the characteristics and development needs of Liaoning manufacturing industry, set up a “1+14+6” model, that is, 1 opening ceremony main forum, 14 parallel forums and 6 important activities at the same time. More than 150 global manufacturing experts, entrepreneurs, and scientists gathered to offer advice and wisdom for Liaoning Manufacturing to accelerate its upgrading and strengthen its smart manufacturing province to stride forward.

Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry has a complete range of products and is known as the “equipment department of the Republic”. In recent years, the whole province has fully, accurately and comprehensively implemented the new development concept, firmly grasped the primary task of high-quality development, vigorously built a digital Liaoning and a smart manufacturing province, comprehensively upgraded the high-end, intelligent and green level of equipment manufacturing, and continuously gathered new momentum and created new advantages in accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system.
