Product Description

The IC800SSI216RD2 is a GE FANUC VersaMotion Servo Motor Controller.  This controller is a 180-250 VAC device with a 3-phase input. It supports DeviceNet programming.  The controller has position feedback, a serial port, along with eight discrete inputs and outputs. The device’s front panel also displays module status, network status, address/code, and Fwd/reverse.   The two-character LED display allows real-time diagnostic updates using mnemonic displays like “OK,” OV” (for motor over voltage,) LE (for Lost enable,) etc.

The IC800SSI216RD2 is designed to be used with a specific series of motors.  This includes MTR-3S45-H, MTR-3S46H, MTR-3S63-G, MTR-3S65-G, MTR-3S67-G, MTR-3T45-1, MTR-3T54-H, and MTR-3T55-H.    These motors range from 32 to 150.3 in-lb of continuous stall torque with rated speeds from 1,400 to 5,300 RPM. Over a decade ago, GE Fanuc incorporated Whedco Inc.  IMJ models into the S2K series. If you are replacing one of these controllers, please note the IC800SSI216RD2 is compatible to a IMJ-31GD-2-D Servo Motor Controller, 16A Resolver Feedback with DeviceNet.

The IC800SSI216RD2 has an operating temperature of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius.  Its storage and shipping temperatures are -40 to 80 degrees Celsius, with humidity of 5 to 95% non-condensing.  The heat sink orientation must be vertical. Please note this unit is rated for operation to 3,300 feet; higher altitude operation should not occur before consulting with GE.   The module is designed for installation with a clearance of 3 inches on all sides for effective cooling.
