The remote S900 I/O systemcan be installed in non-hazardous areas or directlyin Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous area depending on the selected systemvariant. S900 I/O communicates with the control systemlevel using the PROFIBUS DP standard. The I/O systemcan be installed directlyin the field,therefore the costs for marshalling and wiring are reduced.
The systemis sturdy, error-tolerant and easyto service. Integrated disconnection mechanisms allowreplacement during operation, meaning thatthere is no need to interruptthe primaryvoltage in order to exchange the power supply units.
