Model 5437-1081 is a Spare Module for ProTech models 8237-1245 and -1368. It is part of the ProTech-GII series of Overspeed/Over-Acceleration devices from Woodward and fits any size of hydro, steam, or gas turbine. In the event of system faults, this product will safely shut down the system. This product performs routine tests to make sure each module is functioning properly. The product is an individual unit for triple redundant modular designs, with A, B, and C modules. This makes it possible to replace or repair one unit while the others are powered on and running.
