Product Description

Product number 9907-014 is part of the Woodward 2301A series of Load Sharing and Speed controls. The 9907-014 model operates on the low-voltage scale with an operating power supply sitting at 20-40 Vdc. This model is specifically designed as a speed control system rather than a load sharing and speed control system.

When using the control and using a magnetic pickup sensor you will need to measure the voltage, do so by measuring across the twenty-eighth and twenty-ninth terminals. The minimum voltage on the terminal will be 1.0 V when the control is at cranking speed, at rated speed the Vrms should be at 30, if for any reason the voltage exceeds 30 V, the gap of the speed sensor will need to be increased, while doing these operations make sure that the V at cranking speed is still sitting at 1.0.

All cables used to connect the control to the engine must be shielded, these cables have to be twisted-conductor pairs. Under absolutely no circumstances should you try to solder the braided shield. Doing so could lead to serious injury and a malfunction of the cables. When connecting the control must be properly grounded, the connection will be made from the ground to the grounding lug to supply genuine grounding to the chassis of the control.
