Low Carbon Exhibition area: Accelerate the development of ecological potential through innovative technology
In the Low Carbon pavilion, Siemens will present an update on SiGREEN, a trusted actuarial and traceability solution for product carbon footprints. SiGREEN has been successfully deployed to Siemens Industrial Automation Products (Chengdu) Co., LTD. (SEWC) and Siemens Numerical Control (Nanjing) Co., LTD. (SNC), which lays a solid foundation for the realization of carbon neutral factories and the production of carbon neutral products. The Expo site will host a certification ceremony for SEWC’s “Carbon neutral Factory” and SNC’s first “carbon neutral product” – high-performance permanent magnet synchronous motors. SiGREEN can now be deployed on-premises and in the cloud to meet the needs of more enterprises. Siemens will also work with partners including China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, TUV SUD, Datong Gear Transmission (Kunshan) Co., LTD., and Jiangyin Huaxin Precision Technology Co., LTD., to open the SiGREEN ecological network construction and jointly promote the process of industrial decarbonization.
In the field of green transport, Siemens will present its latest achievement, the hydrogen-powered train Mireo Plus H, to help achieve environmentally friendly, zero-emission passenger transport. The hydrogen-powered train, developed on the Mireo Plus H platform, supports ultra-long operating ranges and faster acceleration. Compared to cars, each hydrogen-powered train can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 45,000 tons over 30 years. In addition, Siemens will present a comprehensive presentation of the highlights and applications of sustainable mobility solutions. Siemens Transportation is committed to reducing operating costs with its innovative portfolio of rail vehicles, improving on-time performance and reducing energy consumption through proven fully autonomous driving systems, applying digital technologies for preventive maintenance, improving availability and achieving greater energy efficiency, supported by integrated full life cycle management and intelligent rail infrastructure.
Siemens will present the fruitful results of the first anniversary of the Zero Carbon Pioneer Program in the Low Carbon exhibition area. At the operational level, Siemens’ first native digital factory in the world was officially put into operation in Nanjing in June this year, and with the help of a number of digital and low-carbon environmental protection technologies, it is expected to reduce carbon by more than 3,300 tons per year and save nearly 6,300 cubic meters of water. Siemens manufacturing plants actively promote the circular economy development model, all production sites can realize the recycling or resource treatment of industrial solid waste, and has achieved zero waste landfill. For the supply chain, Siemens China has officially incorporated low-carbon related indicators into the key procurement decision-making process, and has established an emission reduction information management system covering nearly 9,000 suppliers in China, targeted to support suppliers to tap carbon reduction potential. At the same time, Siemens has helped nearly 600 strategic suppliers improve their carbon baseline transparency through an online assessment tool. For customers, Siemens helps customers and projects such as Bozhong Seiko, the National Speed Skating Hall and Shanghai Metro Line 18 achieve energy saving and carbon reduction. In addition to providing technical support, Siemens has also specially launched green financial services, which will be exhibited at the CIIE for the first time. By providing digital product renewal services and financial leasing services for system upgrades, as well as supply chain factoring services in areas such as energy efficiency management and emission reduction, Siemens helps companies to complete business innovation under the goal of “carbon neutrality”, achieving both economic and environmental benefits.
