The National Instruments PXI 2568 (Part Number: 778572-68) is a broadly useful 31-channel Relay Module, highlighting free SPST (Form A) armature relays. Each relay is latching with low on-resistance and low thermal offsets. The NI PXI 2568 can switch up to 2 A at 30 VAC/30 VDC. With an effective coupling of voltage/current capacity and relay density, the PXI 2568 is perfect for automated test equipment (ATE) loads or for controlling heaters, lights, and fans. This model can expand throughput in automated test applications by the utilization of scanning. Scanning enhances throughput by downloading a list of up to 32,000 connections with the switch and cycling through the list by utilizing an event (trigger) with no intrusion from the host processor. Scanning is most effectively achieved by mating the PXI-2568 with an instrument, such as the NI PXI-4070 61 ⁄2-digit FlexDMM, which issues a trigger after every estimation. The device is equipped with a 62-pin male DSUB I/O connector. It has a power requirement of 6 W at 5 V, and 2.5 W at 3.3 V.
