Lloyd’s Test – a long-standing family business
In 1963, the Group Electronics business unit was created, but this was not the beginning of the history of the Lloyd Strauss Group: the company’s history can be traced back to the 17th century in Eningen/Achalm bei Reutlingen in southern Germany. A few years later, as mechanical textile machines gradually replaced hand-woven machines and cotton replaced linen, the Loijs began to operate textile production on their own. “In 1861, our ancestors in the Lenningen Valley found the perfect conditions for the construction of mechanical cotton mills and spinning mills,” explains Helmut Leuze, a shareholder of the Leuze Group. With these advantages, a famous textile company came into being, and in the decades all the way, continue to grow.
