Schneider Electric, a global specialist in digital transformation in energy management and automation, has announced an update on its Sustainability Impact Index (SSI) program for 2021-2025. According to the plan, Schneider Electric’s 2022 annual target of 4.70 points, as of the third quarter has reached a cumulative score of 4.54 points, a series of results prove that Schneider Electric is firmly implementing the long-term commitment to sustainable development, demonstrating its leadership in combating climate change.
With the end of the New York Climate Week and the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), global attention to climate change is once again on the rise. Gwenaelle Avice-Huet, Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Schneider Electric, also attended COP 27 to share Schneider Electric’s insights on sustainability and its expertise and recommendations to empower the industry to accelerate its move to “net zero carbon.”

Schneider Electric’s Net Zero Carbon Commitment Roadmap has been certified by the Scientific Carbon Target Initiative (SBTi) as one of the first companies in the world to achieve this certification.
In the famous ESG rating agency Standard & Poor’s Global “2022 Corporate Sustainability Assessment” obtained 89 points (out of 100 points), the industry leading level.
Since 2018, it has helped customers worldwide save and avoid 400 million tons of carbon emissions, and it is more than halfway to helping customers reduce carbon emissions by 800 million tons in 2025.
