Emerson today announced that it has acquired Mita-Teknik in an all-cash transaction. Founded in 1969, Mita is a leader in the wind power control automation business, equipping wind turbines and wind farms with technology to maximize their performance and achieve superior reliability. The acquisition is highly complementary to Emerson’s existing control system portfolio, enabling the company to further help customers move toward digital operations and achieve their sustainability goals.
Mita’s proprietary controls manage wind turbine operations to maximize energy production, while its control software optimizes wind farm output to provide cost-optimized energy. In addition to Mita’s full portfolio of OEM technologies, it serves the fast-growing aftermarket segment by offering cost-competitive retrofitting solutions that extend the life of turbines while increasing annual power generation.
Mita occupies an important position in the growing wind energy industry.
The acquisition expands Emerson’s renewable generation automation solutions into the wind power market and strengthens Emerson’s ability to deliver more value to power customers around the world.
