With the continuous strengthening of energy conservation and emission reduction policies, the goals of energy efficiency and environmental protection of household appliances continue to improve. Driven by this trend, BLDC frequency conversion control applications have received widespread attention. In home appliances, BLDC frequency conversion control enables more accurate speed control, thereby improving product performance and comfort, and reducing energy consumption. Based on Infineon IM564-X6D module, the BLDC frequency conversion control scheme is launched to speed up the development of inverter motor control systems.

The IM564-X6D is part of the Infineon IPM CIPOSâ„¢ Mini family, which includes powerful inverters and PFC systems and uses Infineon’s latest iMotion MCE engine technology. A CoolMOSâ„¢ power MOSFET and a fast switching diode for the PFC level are built into the module, supporting PFC switching frequencies up to 150KHz. The design of the IM564-X6D, which integrates the single boost PFC stage and the inverter stage in a single DIP 3×36D package, enables significantly reduced inductor size, high power density and reduced system area, and in combination with the active PFC, helps engineers quickly prototype various variable frequency motor control systems.
