According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, two national standards, “Green Manufacturing Terminology” (GB/T 28612-2023) and “Green Manufacturing Attributes” (GB/T 28616-2023), have been released recently and will be formally implemented from January 1, 2024. These two national standards are proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the National Green Manufacturing Technology Standardization Technical Committee has defined the relevant terms and definitions of green manufacturing, as well as the basic principles, classification system and related descriptions of green manufacturing attributes.
The standard clearly states that entering the new stage of development, green manufacturing is a modern manufacturing mode with low consumption, low emissions, high efficiency and high benefit. Its essence is to consider the industrial structure, energy resources, ecological environment, health and safety, climate change and other factors in the development process of the manufacturing industry, the concept of green development and management requirements throughout the whole life cycle of the product, to promote the green transformation and upgrading of traditional industries with deep changes in the manufacturing mode, and lead the green development of emerging industries with a high starting point. We will jointly promote carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion and growth, so as to achieve coordinated optimization of economic, ecological and social benefits.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will fully implement green manufacturing as an important starting point for the “double carbon” work in the field of industry and information technology, improve the green manufacturing and service system, accelerate the all-round transformation of the manufacturing industry, the whole process transformation, the whole chain transformation, and the improvement of the whole field, and strengthen the ecological background of new industrialization.
