The strategic cooperation seeks to establish and deepen cooperation in the marketing, technological innovation and business development of zero-carbon and energy-saving digital solutions. Based on the commitment of the two sides to the Scientific Carbon Target Initiative (SBTi) and the Sustainable Development Goals, the two sides will give full play to each other’s brand influence, technological innovation, industry and channel advantages, and work together to provide users in the industrial sector with net-zero emissions and green energy saving digital solutions. The cooperation will focus on areas such as digital factories, industrial parks, smart buildings and smart water systems. At the same time, Grundfos and Vision Intelligence will establish a high-level exchange and communication mechanism to enhance mutual trust, explore cooperation opportunities, and expand this partnership from China and the Asia-Pacific region to the world.
Digitalisation is the only way for industrial companies to grow into the future and is one of Grundfos’ core strategies, enabling Grundfos to make a positive contribution towards reducing the carbon footprint of end users and achieving the SBTi targets. In order to further promote the implementation of local digital solutions, Grundfos has established a China Digital Center as early as 2019. This year, the Digitalization Center has been upgraded to Grundfos China Digital Solutions Center, which has been given an end-to-end mission to accelerate the process of innovation, research and development, and commercialization of digital products in the Chinese market. Grundfos digital solutions are designed to provide life-cycle monitoring, predictive maintenance and energy optimization for water systems, enabling businesses to be more productive, efficient and carbon efficient.
Vision Intelligence is based on cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence technologies to provide an open, composable and scalable digital infrastructure for the green and low-carbon transformation of enterprises and cities. Integrating information technology (IT), operational technology (OT) and energy technology (ET) abstracts business scenarios into configurable “common components” to provide customers and partners with digital solutions such as smart new energy and smart energy storage more efficiently and at a lower cost. Based on open source components and a platform-based architecture, the EnOS suite is designed with openness and scalability embedded in it, providing flexible solutions for businesses at different stages of their zero-carbon journey and growing together as the transition deepens.
Mark Man, President of Grundfos China, said at the signing ceremony: “Both Grundfos and Vision have previously joined the SBTi, and Grundfos’ net zero emissions target by 2050 has been fully certified by the SBTi, becoming the first company in the world to pass this certification in the field of water technology solutions. Both parties are confident and committed to achieving a sustainable and net-zero future, and we hope to form a strategic complement in energy efficiency and green transformation, relying on digital technology to drive the transformation of pump and water system operation from ‘experience-driven’ to ‘data-driven’, thereby unlocking greater value space for customers and facilitating the industry to achieve leapfrog development.”
Sun Jie, vice president of Vision Intelligence and general manager of Vision Carbon Management business, said: “In the context of global climate change and increasingly serious environmental problems, sustainable development and carbon reduction in the industrial sector have become the common focus of enterprises and society. The digital collaboration between Vision and Grundfos in the areas of energy efficiency, carbon efficiency, water efficiency and other sustainable areas will set a model for the green transformation of the industry, jointly provide customers with more environmentally friendly and efficient digital sustainable transformation services, enhance the green image and social responsibility of the company, and lead the industry to a new era of sustainable development.”
Grundfos and Vision Intelligence are both confident and committed to achieving a sustainable and net-zero future, working together to provide customers with more environmentally friendly and efficient digital sustainable transformation services
As the world’s leading supplier of energy efficient and intelligent water solutions, Grundfos participated in the CIIE for six consecutive years, bringing a number of smart new products and solutions for the first time in the world.
