The core, also known as the 3D geometric modeling engine, is recognized as the most core and most difficult to overcome root technology of 3D CAD software. As the system “engine” of 3D CAD software, the technical difficulty is large, the stability and reliability requirements are high, and the functions such as two-dimensional sketch, three-dimensional part design (solid modeling, surface modeling, three-dimensional wire frame) need to be realized on its basis.
It can be said that the kernel is to 3D CAD, just like the chip is to the mobile phone, which determines the capability boundary, operating efficiency and stability of the upper software application, and is also responsible for the calculation and storage of data, which also profoundly affects the industry application ability of 3D CAD software and the ability of manufacturers to create platform ecology.

Once the license of core and other root technologies is terminated or not renewed, the 3D CAD software built on it will be greatly damaged or even unable to use, and the inheritance and reuse of valuable assets such as historical drawings will also be affected, which is more prominent on cloud products. In addition, there is no need to pay high patent technology licensing fees to third parties, and the impact of uncontrollable costs and other factors on product sales and after-sales service can be largely avoided.
