On the same day, the 2023 Guangdong Top 500 Manufacturing Summit was held in Foshan, at which the “2023 Guangdong Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises Research Report” was released. According to the report, the total revenue of the selected enterprises reached 5.6 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.2% over 2022, and the average operating income of enterprises was 11.2 billion yuan, an increase of 1.4% over 2022. From the perspective of industry, 500 enterprises are distributed in 24 industries, accounting for 77.4% of the 31 manufacturing industries in the country, reflecting that Guangdong’s manufacturing industry not only has complete industry categories and formed a relatively complete manufacturing system, but also has large and medium-sized enterprises with strong competitiveness in most industries, and the overall development level of the manufacturing industry is relatively high.
