Product Description

Featured with 17 hybrid slots, the NI PXIe-1084 (Part Numbers: 784058-01 and 786397-01) is a PXI Chassis. This Chassis comes with an all-hybrid backplane. Thus, the PXIe-1084 can be used in a wide range of higher-performance measurement and test applications. The NI PXIe-1084 also comes with synchronization and timing options that include trigger routing and an external clock. The availability of a hybrid connector in every peripheral slot makes this device tremendously flexible for module placement.

This PXI Chassis offers 58 watts cooling per slot and noiseless operation at 34.4 dBA while operating within a temperature range of 0 to 30 °C. The NI PXIe-1084 PXI Chassis can operate with up to 500 MB/s bandwidth per PXIe slot. The power supply, fans, and operating temperature of this Chassis are constantly monitored by the control system. The hybrid slots in the National Instruments PXIe-1084 PXI Chassis can accept a variety of peripheral modules, such as CompactPCI, CompactPCI Express, PXI, and PXI Express peripheral modules. This PXI Chassis can operate in two main fan modes, which are Auto and High. In Auto mode, the speed of the fans is controlled in relation to the air inlet temperature. However, in High mode, the cooling fans remain in operating at a high speed. For better acoustic performance, operation in Auto mode is recommended by National Instruments.
