One day in September, we met Mr. Jusendi, who was over 80 years old, but still hale and gentle. According to the interview outline we gave in advance, the old gentleman made in-depth thinking and very refined answers one by one, and his meticulous, serious and rigorous attitude and style left a deep impression on us. As a top expert and well-known person in the domestic industrial field, Mr. Li has devoted his life to Chinese industry, integrated into the magnificent development process of Chinese manufacturing for more than half a century, and witnessed the past decades accompanied by Zhongkang.

From big to strong a microcosm
Since 2005, Zhu Sendi has been involved in the preparation of the three five-year development plans of Zhongcon and promoted the whole development process of ZhongCON from small to large. The strategic plan for the next five years formulated in 2005 clearly proposed “small and medium-sized as the base, to enter the high-end; Integrate resources and focus on breakthroughs; Brand management, extension of services; The development strategy of “consolidating domestic and expanding overseas” has been basically realized since then. In 2007, with the successful bid of the Sinopec Wuhan Branch “Oil quality upgrade refining renovation project” as a symbol, the domestic control system for the first time fully entered the key main equipment of large-scale petrochemical, laying the foundation for the company to enter from small and medium-sized projects to large projects.

Thirty years from 1993 to 2023, taking ten years as a stage, Zhu Sen Di divided the development of Zhongkong into three stages of start-up, growth and expansion, he said, “ZhongKong’s thirty years exactly corresponds to the historical stage of China’s industrial development and growth, is a typical of China’s manufacturing industry independent control, innovation and self-improvement, is a microcosm of China’s manufacturing industry from large to strong.” “An obvious change is that the customer’s attitude toward the products has been from the initial passive adoption to the current active adoption, and more and more domestic and foreign top customers and large-scale projects are using the products of the control.”
China’s growth and expansion must first be grateful for the great opportunities brought by reform and opening up. The market has been unprecedentedly activated, and the wisdom of the masses has emerged. As a top expert in the field of intelligent manufacturing, Zhu Sendi has participated in the formulation of a number of weighty documents such as the “Made in China 2025” of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Talking about how to understand the intelligent manufacturing of process industry, he gave his own answer, that is, “Intelligent manufacturing is based on the deep integration of a new generation of information and communication technology and advanced manufacturing technology, running through all aspects of manufacturing activities such as design, production, management, service, with self-perception, self-decision-making, self-execution, self-adaptation, self-learning and other functions of a new production mode.” He specially emphasized the term “mode of production” to us, and he believed that the changes brought about by intelligent manufacturing were not only at the level of productivity, but also obviously covered production relations, productivity determined production relations, and production relations acted on productivity.
In his mind, the beautiful picture brought by intelligent manufacturing can be vividly reflected with eight “more” – so that the entire manufacturing industry can achieve lower unit costs, higher production efficiency, faster market response, better product quality, less resource consumption, less environmental impact, stronger core capabilities and more beautiful life for employees. He stressed that “more” is a comparative level, the future of intelligent manufacturing has no limit, only constantly upward, and must have humanistic ideas and ecological awareness.
In the face of this new wave of technological revolution and industrial change, how to cope? In the interview, Zhu Sendi took core technologies, products and models such as 5T technology integration, 135 customer value innovation model, and factory operating system introduced by Zhongkong in recent years at hand, and was able to accurately interpret them, which is enough to show that the old man’s love for ZhongKong is as deep as ever. He fully affirmed the performance of the central control in recent years, believing that this is the embodiment of the central control initiative to seek change.
When it comes to the era of intelligence, what kind of capabilities should Zhongcong have? He gave his deep thinking and summarized it into five competences-the ability to actively adapt, the ability to integrate resources, the ability to manage effectively, the ability to innovate continuously, and the ability to implement projects. To build a smart enterprise in the intelligent era, we must be able to understand technology trends and industrial changes as always, take the initiative to change, adapt quickly, build an agile organization, and form effective management. We should also learn to be good at integrating resources from all sides, release the new value of resource allocation, and ensure the sustainable development of enterprises through continuous innovation.
