Teledyne DALSA’s new Xtium™2-XGV PX8 is a GigE Vision® compatible image capture card that uses a real-time unpack engine to convert GigE Vision® image packages into readyready images. It also uses hardware-assisted packet retransmission logic to improve image transmission reliability and reduce CPU overhead (usage). The Xtium2-XGV PX8 can capture images from a single or multiple independent 10, 5, 2.5, or 1GigE Vision area array cameras, line array cameras, and 3D topography sensors (3D cameras).
Following the proven technology and performance of Teledyne DALSA’s Xtium2 series of image capture cards, the new XTIUM2-XGV PX8 is a half-length multi-port 10-Gigabit Ethernet image capture card for PCI Express™ Gen 3.0×8 platforms (interfaces). It has multiple link speeds and scan configurations and supports up to 32 cameras. The Xtium2-XGV PX8 is available in a four-port or two-port SFP+ configuration, supporting aggregate input bandwidth of 4 GByte per second (4×10 Gbs) and host memory output bandwidth of up to 6.8 GByte per second. It can also perform a variety of on-board format conversion, such as Bayre format to RGB format, two-color format to RGB format, and then send the image to the host system.
To make the GigE vision system more reliable, Xtium2-XGV supports hardware assisted packet retransmission and action commands for external event synchronization. And it can transmit/retransmit IEEE-1588 messages without an external switch.
Xtium2-XGV supports the Spinnaker SDK for Sapera™ LT and Teledyne FLIR® IIS.
You are cordially invited to attend the Japan International Imaging Technology Exhibition (ITE) in Yokohama on December 6-8, 2023 to see the Xtium™2-XGV PX8 demonstration live. For more information, visit Teledyne at booth D-04 or contact us online.
