The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Action Plan (2021-2023), which proposed that by 2023, 30 5G fully PXI-4130 connected factories will be built in 10 key industries, which is very important for the development of the industrial Internet and will promote the intelligent upgrading of the industry. As for how to build a 5G fully connected factory, how to play a supporting role is more concerned.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology promotes the construction of private networks
“The industrial Internet is the main battlefield for 5G commercial use.” Xu Xiaolan, president of the China Industrial Internet Research Institute, believes that the integration of 5G and the industrial Internet will strongly drive intelligent manufacturing. In the future, 5G will penetrate into every link of industrial production and manufacturing, and comprehensively improve the level of intelligence.
With the arrival of the era of industrial manufacturing intelligence, the official website PXI-4130 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the “Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Action Plan (2021-2023)” interpretation, pointing out that the next three years is the rapid growth period of the industrial Internet. It requires the network sector to continue to focus on building network infrastructure to support the interconnection of all industrial elements, the whole industrial chain, and the whole value chain, accelerate the construction and transformation of enterprise external networks and enterprise internal networks, and improve basic support capabilities.
The analysis shows that to improve network support capacity, we must first build 5G private networks to meet the needs of enterprise security, speed and stability.
Compared with the “public network” built and provided by operators for ordinary users,PXI-4130 the “private network” is actually a local area network (LAN) – to achieve network signal coverage in a specific area to provide communication services for specific users, which is essentially a 2B application.
5G enterprise private networks have a variety of modes, including enterprise self-built 5G private networks (local 5G frequency bands, completely private, not shared); Operators help enterprises build 5G private networks (5G frequency bands based on operators, completely private, not shared); RAN sharing between public network and private network; RAN and control plane sharing between public network and private network; RAN and core sharing (end-to-end network slicing) between public and private networks.
Consulting firm Grand View Research predicts that the global 5G private network market will reach $919.7 million in 2020, with a compound annual growth rate of 37.8% between 2020 and 2027. By 2036, global spending on 5G private networks will exceed that on 5G public networks.
PXI-4130 Wang Zhiqin, vice president of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, said that 5G private network products are the most able to fully reflect the advantages of 5G, and operators should give full play to the advantages of technology and industry to create standardized products for 5G private networks to meet the needs of industry customers.
Realize the digital transformation and upgrading of enterprises
According to Xiaoxiang Morning Post, on the eve of the Spring Festival, China Telecom Zhejiang Company joined hands with Huawei to help Chint Electrical Appliances, Tianzheng Group, Gold, Legrand and other 15 enterprises in Wenzhou to carry out 5G industrial interconnection commercial pilot, the application relies on the industry’s first 4G/5G fusion sharing UPF, uses 5G public network dedicated mode, enabling 5G smart factory multi-scene application landing. Realize the digital transformation and upgrading of all factors of enterprise production.
This pilot is not only the largest 5G smart factory project in the province, but also the process of smart PXI-4130 factory dedicated lines and private network products is opened up, which plays a broad reference and demonstration role for smart factories, and sets a model and benchmark for the rapid replication of 5G smart factory solutions in the province and even the whole country.
In the past 2020, according to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China’s operators have built 580,000 5G base stations to reach 718,000, and the total number of 5G base stations applied to the industrial Internet exceeds 32,000.
On this basis, operators have built a series of application projects such as smart factories, smart mines, and smart terminals relying on 5G private networks.
For example, China Telecom reached a strategic cooperation with Sany Heavy Industry, planning and building an industrial Internet boutique cloud private network with the headquarters as the center and radiating the national production plant, and building a 5G private network for each plant of Sany;
China Mobile will build a 5G private network operation platform to help Haier build a smart factory.
Earlier, Guangdong Unicom and Huawei carried out the “5G+ Industrial Internet” 5G private network transformation project in Gree Electric Appliances, built and successfully tested the first domestic private network based on MEC edge cloud + 5G SA slice in the field of intelligent manufacturing, and promoted the transformation of enterprises from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing.
