The number of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in China has exceeded 52 million, and the number of high-tech enterprises has reached 465,000, becoming an important source of new technologies, new industries and new forms of business. Second, key enterprises grew faster. In 2023, there are 142 Chinese enterprises listed in the world’s top 500, ranking first in the world, including 63 manufacturing enterprises. The operating income of China’s top 500 manufacturing enterprises increased to 51.06 trillion yuan, double that of 2012. Third, specialized new enterprises are emerging at a faster pace. It has cultivated more than 103,000 specialized and new small and medium-sized enterprises, 12,000 “small giant” enterprises, and 1,186 individual champion enterprises in the manufacturing industry.
