1794-AENTR Since its establishment, ECC has always taken architecture formulation and technology route selection as an important starting point to promote the development of the edge computing industry, pulled through the “government, industry, university and research” industrial resources, and promoted the open cooperation and collaboration of technical architecture, standards, programs and applications. At this summit, ECC officially released three white papers, “Edge Computing IT Infrastructure White Paper 1.0”, “Operator Edge Computing Network Technology White Paper” and “Edge Computing Security White Paper”.
1794-AENTR The Edge Computing IT Infrastructure White Paper 1.0, published jointly by the ECC and the Green Computing Consortium (GCC), describes the current wave of edge computing. The three main hardware forms of edge computing IT infrastructure (edge server, intelligent edge appliance, edge gateway) focus on defining the needs of edge servers, technical solutions and industrial ecology, aiming to build edge computing IT infrastructure specifications. The Operator Edge Computing Network Technology White Paper is the Industry’s first edge computing network technology white paper jointly produced by ECC and Network 5.0 Industry andTechnology Innovation Alliance (N5A). The relationship between edge computing network and edge computing is defined: on the one hand, network is the key support for the development of edge computing industry; On the other hand, the development of edge computing will push the network towards three major convergence trends (fixed-mobile convergence, carrier network and campus network convergence, OT/IT convergence), and put forward the technical system of edge computing network. The “Edge Computing Security White Paper” is the industry’s first edge computing security white paper jointly created by ECC and Alliance Industrial Internet (AII), which combs the 12 challenges and five requirements of edge security, and puts forward the edge security reference frame and ten key technologies.
1794-AENTR Since its establishment, ECC has adopted the parallel operation mode of horizontal working group and vertical industry committee, and created innovative solutions for edge computing by jointly building joint test beds, mining industrial value and promoting application. In 2019, the ECC, together with GCC and N5A, set up the Edge Computing Infrastructure Industry Promotion Working Group (ECII) and the Edge Computing Network Infrastructure Joint Working Group (ECNI), and set up the Smart City Special Committee to promote key technological breakthroughs and applications of edge computing in related fields.
In 2019, ECC incubated 11 test bed solutions, covering intelligent manufacturing, intelligent transportation, smart city, intelligent security and other industries. To date, ECC has completed 40 test bed solutions. Among them, OPC UA Over TSN3.0 was displayed at the summit site. This test bed was jointly built by 35 companies and institutions with global influence led by ECC, covering 8 value scenarios, and is currently the only international OPC UA over TSN test bed in China. The test bed is designed to provide a platform environment for testing validation and innovation of OPC UA over TSN based open Internet and edge computing infrastructure in manufacturing and other industrial markets, such as TSN switches, edge computing gateways, etc., to ensure that industry partners’ products and solutions can better meet market needs.

Edge computing focuses on the intelligent connection of everything, meeting the key needs of industry digitalization in connection, real-time, intelligence, data optimization, security and privacy protection, and is an important technical support for the industrial Internet and 5G. With the theme of “Smart 5G, Blooming Edge”, this conference will comprehensively explore the path and future prospects of edge computing technology in the 5G era, show innovative applications, aggregate industrial ecology, and promote industrial development, which is of great practical significance.
