On January 11, BOE’s 8.6th-generation AMOLED production line project with a total investment of 63 billion yuan officially started in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This is the first domestic and the first high-generation AMOLED production line in the world, and it is also the largest single investment in the manufacturing project in the industrial history of Sichuan Province.

This project is a landmark project of Chengdu to build a “world soft valley”. After completion, China is expected to achieve a historic turning point in the OLED display field from “following” to “running” and then to “leading”, which will drive the total output value of Chengdu’s new display industry to exceed 150 billion yuan, making Chengdu the largest flexible panel production base in the country.

The eco-park is the largest among all home appliance parks in the world, with a total planned production capacity of 26 million units, and the layout of “ten factories” in the whole industrial chain such as refrigerators, washing, air conditioning, and resource utilization. The annual output value will exceed 40 billion yuan and create 18,000 new jobs.
