Second, China’s “5G+ industrial Internet” exploration pace accelerated
In recent years, China’s industry has always taken innovation and development as the driving force, adhered to the combination of enterprise main body and government guidance, independent innovation and open cooperation, and 1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK accelerated the research and development and industrialization of 5G and industrial Internet. With the joint efforts of all parties of government, industry, university and research, China’s “5G+ industrial Internet” has continued to make new progress, and the integration has shown initial results and broad prospects for development.
1. The industrial foundation has been strengthened.
On the one hand, 5G development continues to accelerate. In terms of standard development, as of May 2019, the number of declared patents by Chinese enterprises accounted for more than 30% of the global total. In terms of product research and development, Huawei, ZTE and other enterprises’ mid-band system equipment is leading; Hisilicon was the first to release the first 5G base station core chip and multi-mode terminal chip. In terms of network construction, as of November 21, 2019, the country has opened 113,000 5G base stations, and it is expected to reach 130,000 by the end of the year. In terms of application promotion, we will actively promote the application of 5G in industrial Internet, vehicle networking, ultra-high-definition video, smart cities and other fields. On the other hand, the construction of the industrial Internet has made positive progress. Manufacturing enterprises actively use new network technology to carry 1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK out factory internal network transformation, and basic telecommunications enterprises accelerate the construction of high-quality enterprise benchmarking network; Five national top nodes have been built and operated, and the number of registered signs has reached 1.1 billion; The number of platforms with a certain industry and regional influence exceeds 50, and the average number of industrial equipment connections on key platforms exceeds 650,000, the average number of registered users is 500,000, and the average number of industrial apps is 1,950. The construction of a three-level security system linked by the state, province and enterprises has been accelerated, and has been connected with 12 provinces, covering 91,000 enterprises and monitoring 135 industrial Internet platforms.
2. The policy environment is getting better. In November 2017, The State Council issued the Guiding Opinions on Deepening the “Internet + Advanced Manufacturing” Development of the Industrial Internet, which clearly proposed to carry out 5G network technology trials for industrial Internet applications, and jointly promote the application and deployment of 5G in industrial enterprises. In January 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the “Industrial Internet Network Construction and Promotion Guide”, proposing to initially build the industrial Internet infrastructure and technology industrial system in 2020. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued 1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK the “5G+ Industrial Internet” 512 Project Promotion Plan “, which proposed detailed development goals and development paths from the aspects of technology industry, innovative applications, and resource supply, and accelerated the implementation of the “5G+ Industrial Internet” 512 project. In addition, more than 10 provinces and regions such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Fujian have regarded the integration of 5G and industry as the focus of industrial planning.
(3) Increasingly in-depth industry applications. The combination of basic telecommunications enterprises and large industrial enterprises has accelerated the layout in a number of industries, and has formed more than 20 types of integrated 1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK application, focusing on industrial manufacturing, energy grid, smart port and other fields. Comac has cooperated with China Unicom, Huawei, and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology to explore real-time control of factory production status through 5G fully connected factories, continuously eliminating resource waste in factory operations, and achieving highly lean production. China Southern Power Grid, together with China Mobile and Huawei, used 5G slicing technology to carry out pilot transformation of 5G bearer power distribution business in Shenzhen to ensure convenient, efficient and secure application of enterprise Intranet. On the whole, the integrated development of “5G+ industrial Internet” in China started early and the foundation is good, and the application has gradually extended from peripheral links such as inspection and monitoring to internal production links such as production control and quality testing. With the deepening of integration and application, a cluster development pattern of “two regions, three belts and multiple points” has been initially formed, led by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta region, and actively promoted by the Lu-Henan area, the Sichuan-Chongqing area and the Xiang-Hubei area.
4. The formation of an industrial ecology accelerated. In February 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly promoted 1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK the establishment of the IMT-2020 (5G) promotion group, which organized industrial, academic and research units in the field of mobile communication to jointly carry out technological innovation, standard development, industrial chain cultivation and international cooperation. The Industrial Internet Industry Alliance, established in 2016, as the main carrier of China’s industrial Internet industry ecology, has set up an industrial wireless AD hoc group to promote the application of new wireless technologies such as 5G in the industrial field, and jointly research and release results such as the 5G+ Industrial Internet White Paper and Edge Computing White Paper. The 5G Application Industry Phalanx, established in 2019, focuses on 5G industrial application, actively promotes supply and demand docking, technological innovation, and knowledge sharing, and strengthens application promotion and promotes the development of 5G industry through the complementary advantages of member units.
Although China’s “5G+ industrial Internet” has achieved initial results, the development potential still needs to be further tapped. On the one hand, the application scenarios and profit models of 5G in the industrial field need to be further explored, which affects the understanding and development enthusiasm of industrial enterprises for 5G. On the other hand, 5G has just entered the commercial stage, and the technology industry ecology has not yet been fully formed, for example, 5G chips and modules are not mature, and there is no standardization for the industrial field, which directly affects the research and development of 5G industrial products or equipment. In addition, key issues such as 5G network deployment architecture, network configuration mode, and insufficient uplink bandwidth in the factory still need to be solved.
