RLX2-IHNF-WC Simcenter E-Machine Design, a simulation tool from Siemens, accelerates the design process and validates designs at an early stage through multi-physical simulation. The Simcenter E-Machine Design software draws on the benefits of Simcenter SPEED, Simcenter Motorsolve, and Simcenter MAGNET to replicate motor experiments.
Simcenter E-Machine Design is designed to connect the various parts of the motor V cycle, realizing Simcenter’s vision to help companies reduce product development time from 3-4 years to less than 2 years.
Feature
RLX2-IHNF-WC First, Simcenter E-Machine Design adopts a template-based design method. Engineers can use predefined templates tailored specifically for motors, and they don’t have to be finite element experts to virtually design hundreds of machines.
Second, Simcenter E-Machine Design leverages the power of early multi-physics verification. Engineers can simulate early in the design phase, loading potential failure modes ahead of time to ensure stable performance. The tool allows engineers to quickly run electrothermal simulations in a single tool to predict and mitigate overheating problems.
RLX2-IHNF-WC Simcenter E-Machine Design now includes an axial flux machine module. The module allows engineers to predict the performance of axial flux machines in seconds. Since the interface template on the input side and the analysis function on the output side are combined, engineers can take full advantage of the power of axial flux machines.
RLX2-IHNF-WC Users can now evaluate alternatives to axial versus radial flux and demonstrate whether higher power densities can be achieved. Simcenter E-Machine Design enables engineers to verify motors in drivetrains through integration with the Simcenter portfolio. Being able to digitally integrate components allows you to move to the physical prototyping stage with greater confidence and avoid failure.
In terms of system integration, Simcenter E-Machine Design enables users to create accurate simplified models (ROMS) and integrate them into Simcenter AMESIM for mechatronics simulation. If you are interested in the integration of the inverter with the motor, you can also integrate the ROMs into Xpedition software or PartQuest software Explore.
RLX2-IHNF-WC In terms of thermal integration, Simcenter E-Machine Design helps users build detailed multi-physics solutions in Simcenter STAR-CCM+ using models.
Especially when it comes to mechanical integration, verifying the noise and vibration hardness performance of machines, gearboxes and housings can be a nightmare. Simcenter helps users accurately copy integrated electronic drives and review the NVH of the system. Users can test and associate with physical systems.
