In November last year, the “5G+ Industrial Internet” 512 project promotion Plan issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology clearly pointed out that by 2022, five industrial public service platforms will be created, covering 10 key industries and forming at least 20 typical industrial application scenarios. The “Notice on Promoting the Accelerated Development of the Industrial Internet” issued in March this year further detailed the work requirements and promotion measures for the “5G+ Industrial Internet” in 2020.

In terms of 5G commercial use, a total of 690,000 5G base stations have been opened, and more than 160 million connected users are in the world’s leading position. At present, 20,000 5G base stations have been built, and more than 30,000 5G base stations will be built next year to ensure full coverage of 5G network in the city.
