In March this year, the intelligent manufacturing department of Sany Heavy Industry received a new requirement: with the increase of the company’s order, the production capacity of the welding turret operation island for the production of pump trucks needs to be increased by 8-12 sets/day, which means that the original 6 work islands are now not enough, and it needs to be increased to 8 work islands immediately.

In the past, adding work islands would have required a rearrangement of production lines that would have taken six months. Fortunately, the flexible layout method was adopted, and the flexible transformation of the production line was completed in only 45 days from robot procurement to post-installation and processing.
