According to the agreement between the two parties, Schneider Electric will, based on its advanced zero carbon management and practical experience, provide carbon neutral consulting services for the Hefei factory of Midea Group Washing Machine Division (hereinafter referred to as “Midea Washing Machine Fertilizer”), and provide digital energy efficiency consulting services and intelligent microgrid integrated solutions for its “Pilot project of digitalization of energy Carbon system and microgrid Application construction”. • Carbon neutral path consulting: Schneider Electric provided Midea Washing Machine Hefei with a full range of carbon neutral consulting from carbon emissions verification, carbon neutral target setting and VMIVME-6016 implementation path. • Energy management system consulting: Based on the business scenarios and energy usage of each department of Midea Washing Machine Hefei, Schneider Electric conducted a comprehensive and detailed evaluation of its energy management platform to help build an energy management system and energy digital system that meet the actual and future needs of the plant, and provided a full range of technical support and training services.
• Smart microgrid integrated V solutions: Based on Midea washing machine’s energy status and historical data, Schneider Electric tailors smart microgrid integrated solutions covering energy management, distributed energy access, energy storage technology, intelligent control and other aspects. By introducing advanced energy management systems, Schneider Electric helps factories achieve real-time monitoring and data analysis of various energy equipment to identify and solve potential problems in a timely manner. At the same time, combined with the application of energy storage system and intelligent control technology, the entire microgrid system can automatically optimize energy scheduling and configuration, help factories expand the use of solar renewable energy, reduce dependence on traditional energy, and reduce carbon emissions.

As early as 2021, Schneider Electric reached a strategic cooperation with Midea Group on green intelligent manufacturing and carbon neutral projects, and helped Midea Group reduce the energy utilization rate and cost of its two large factories by about 11%, with a cumulative carbon reduction of nearly 7,000 tons by tailoring a carbon neutral implementation path for Midea Group with energy efficiency optimization and renewable energy applications as the core.
