In internal logistics, packaging processes, and presence detection in the automotive industry, sensors often have multiple performance requirements: reliable detection performance, ease of installation, and, most importantly, cost effectiveness. The 5B series sensors are flexible in operation while providing excellent cost effectiveness and enabling the sensors to meet the individual needs of the customer.

In order to better meet the different application needs of customers, Lloyd’s Test has upgraded the 5B series with the new HT5B.XL diffuse photoelectric sensor long spot models: HT5B.XL/2 and HT5B.XL/4.
Whether it is an irregular object, a very transparent bottle or a transparent film, the HT5B.XL series photoelectric sensor can handle it easily. Powerful performance, stable detection, make your production process more efficient. Powerful performance and easy integration into your automation system, whether it is quality control on the production line or environmental monitoring, perfect for adaptation.
The HT5B.XL diffuse reflective photoelectric sensor is particularly suitable for the electronics industry, and the design of the long spot is stable for the detection of PCB boards with holes and grooves, the detection of densely textured printed circuit board (PCB), and the detection of irregular holes and grooves.
Diffuse reflection type photoelectric sensor HT 5B application share
The use of diffuse sensors in logistics automation ensures reliable detection of overloaded cartons
Requirements: When parcels are transported on a conveyor belt in a sorting system, sensors check that parcels are properly filled and throw out under-filled or over-filled cartons.
IC687BEM742
The solution: The HT 5B diffuse reflection sensor monitors the conveyor belt from above and detects the carton and its contents with fast switching characteristics up to 1,000 Hz. Easily calibrated and fine-tuned by the potentiometer, the sensor’s background suppression function ensures that only objects are detected and the conveyor belt is shielded.
In the production of lithium battery cells, a diffuse sensor is used to detect metal foil tear
Requirements: The winding copper foil or aluminum foil is complicated to operate in the compaction stage, and if the speed is too fast or uneven, the metal foil may tear. Therefore, the sensor needs to interrupt the work flow immediately to prevent equipment damage.
Solution: The diffuse reflection sensor HT 5B with background suppression continuously monitors the presence or absence of metal foil and immediately detects metal foil tears. The sensor can also reliably detect bright or dark surfaces. In addition, its compact structure is suitable for very small installation environments.
The 5B series of optoelectronic sensors are available in three operating principles: mirror, reflector and diffuse, and are certified with IP 67 protection and ECOLAB.
