S20330-SRS Yangjiang LNG peaking gas storage project is a priority project of the “Belt and Road” in Guangdong Province, and also a key project of the “13th Five-Year Plan” for energy development in Guangdong Province, which is divided into two phases. Among them, the total investment of the first phase is about 5.4 billion yuan, which will start at the end of September 2021 and is expected to be completed and put into operation in March 2024. Liquefied natural gas (LNG), as an important low-carbon, environmentally friendly, clean and efficient energy in China, can effectively relieve the pressure of carbon emissions by replacing traditional coal and oil energy. The LNG receiving and unloading capacity of this project will reach 2.8 million tons per year, and according to this calculation, coal consumption can be reduced by about 7.5 million tons per year. The emission reduction is about 11.3 million tons of carbon dioxide, about 120,000 tons of sulfur dioxide, and about 60,000 tons of nitrogen oxides.
S20330-SRS LNG Liquefied natural gas storage is the key infrastructure of the petroleum and petrochemical industry. As the power source of the whole station, the configuration and operation of the electrical system is of great significance to ensure the normal and safe operation of the station. Yangjiang LNG project has a number of distribution rooms, but the distribution distance between the distribution rooms is far, and the daily inspection work of operation and maintenance personnel is heavy and time-consuming, and the work efficiency is low. On the other hand, with the increase of business volume and the demand for green and low-carbon development, the traditional distribution operation and maintenance cannot achieve high-quality, rapid service and energy efficiency improvement, so intelligent operation and maintenance transformation is needed.
S20330-SRS ABB provided the ABB ABILITY ZEE600 asset health management solution for the Yangjiang LNG Peak-load storage project, realizing the comprehensive upgrade from traditional operation and maintenance to intelligent operation and maintenance. Based on the digital medium voltage and low voltage switchgear, the solution can monitor, analyze, control and optimize the electrical system to support users to achieve their efficiency, energy conservation and sustainability goals, further ensure the supply and storage capacity of natural gas in Yangjiang and the western Guangdong region, and create a new energy supply pattern.
The ABB ABILITY ZEE600 asset health management solution adopted in the project, whose data collection, processing and storage are based on the advanced cloud platform architecture, aims to improve the performance of the electrical system and ensure its safety and reliability, and mainly has the following two features:
S20330-SRS Remote operation and maintenance management, reduce labor costs. The solution allows users to access information from multiple sites, making it easy to monitor and compare the performance of different facilities at the same time. It can also set different user interfaces according to the user’s required identity and access rights, which facilitates remote operation and maintenance management and reduces labor costs. In this project, after the system is put into operation, manual inspection, meter reading, statistics and other work in the power distribution room are realized by the system, which can reduce the workload by 75%.
Support multi-site synchronous monitoring to achieve energy saving management. The solution supports multi-site synchronous real-time monitoring, monitoring and inspection according to different distribution circuits and load usage of gas storage, providing clear energy consumption information, providing data insight for reducing waste and improving energy efficiency, reducing facility energy costs and avoiding unplanned downtime.
In this project, ABB also supplied a full range of low and medium voltage switchgear. The medium pressure cabinet UniGear ZS1 can effectively reduce the floor area of the cabinet and provide more space for customers; The perfect five-prevention interlock function and digital configuration help customers improve the perception and management ability of equipment status, and greatly improve the utilization rate and operation reliability of equipment, thus helping customers reduce the cost loss caused by failures.
MNS3.0 low-voltage switchgear, can easily change the functional unit in the case of constant power, and flexible design, compact structure, with high safety and reliability. High-quality anti-arc design and the use of special materials can effectively prevent the occurrence of fault arc, meet the requirements of earthquake and shock resistance, and ensure the reliable operation of the power system of the gas storage in special circumstances.
ABB has a solid track record in the oil, gas and chemical sectors, has rich experience in the implementation of more than 1,000 projects worldwide, and has participated in the construction of numerous national key projects in China by petrochina, Sinopec, CNOOC and Hengli Petrochemical. ABB will adhere to digital innovation, promote the implementation of replicable and scalable vertical scenarios, enable scientific carbon reduction paths, and support the sustainable development goals of customers and partners.
