Interface/protocol

The serial port COM1 (RS485) can be used for program download, communication (MODBUS RTU, ASCII) or for extending remote I/O(CS31 master).
Optional serial port COM2 (RS485) can also be used for program download, communication (MODBUS RTU, ASCII).
Ethernet interfaces can be used to download programs and communicate (SNTP client, DHCP, UDP, Modbus TCP, HTTP, and FTP). In PM556 and PM566, mail can be sent through the SMTP client.
