3500/22-01-01-R0 3500/22M Transient Data Interface
The 3500/22M Transient Data interface (TDl) is the interfacebetween the 3500 monitoring system and compatiblesoftware(system1Condition Monitoring and Diagnosticsoftware and 3500 system Configuration software). The TDlcombines the function of a 3500/20 Rack interface Module(RlM) with the data collection capability of a communicationprocessor such as TDXnet.
The TDl resides in the slot adjacent to the power supplies of a3500 rack.lt interfaces with M series monitors(3500/40M,3500/42M,etc.)to continuously collect steady state andtransient dynamic(waveform) data and pass this datathrough an Ethernet link to the host software. Refer to theCompatibility section at the end of this document for moreinformation.

Static data capture capability is standard with the TDl.However, using an optional Channel Enabling Disk will allowthe TDl to capture dynamic and high-resolution transientdata as well. The TDl incorporates the communicationprocessor function within the 3500 rack.
Although the TDl provides certain functions common to theentire rack, it is not part of the critical monitoring path andhas no effect on the proper, normal operation of the overallmonitor system for automatic machinery protection. Every3500 rack requires one TDl or RlM, which always occupiesSlot1(next to the power supplies)

Static Values Data
TDl will collect the static values includingthe values measured by the monitors.
TDl provides four nX static values for eachpoint.Amplitude and phase are returnedfor each of the values.
