The industrial sector needs to enhance sustainability and resilience through digital transformation, while better balancing value creation with ecological protection. Industrial companies need to create more value with fewer resources. At HANnover MESSE 2024, Siemens demonstrated how its market-recognized cutting-edge technologies and strong collaborative ecosystem can help make industry more sustainable and competitive. The Siemens stand in Hall 9, Booth D53, is the largest booth at Hannover MESse and showcases how Siemens’ core technologies are enabling the automotive, food, chemical and semiconductor industries to accelerate digital transformation and achieve sustainable development.
Roland Busch, Chairman, President and CEO of Siemens AG, said: “Together with our partners, Siemens is demonstrating effective paths and successful practices for innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital twins and software-defined automation to help customers meet multiple challenges. The full range of Siemens technology capabilities can meet the real needs of all industries, helping customers reduce costs, overcome labor shortages, improve competitiveness and sustainability.”
The German chancellor experiences the Siemens Industrial Copilot to glimpse a new era of human-machine interaction
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the Siemens booth to experience first-hand the transformative power of generative AI. Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of the Schaeffler Group, accompanied the visit. Siemens and Schaeffler are currently working closely together on digital transformation and generative AI, and will sign a memorandum of understanding during the show to further expand the Siemens Industrial Copilot collaboration.

At the International Industrial Automation and Components Fair (SPS) in Nuremberg, Germany, last fall, Siemens and Schaeffler jointly unveiled a generative AI assistant integrated into production equipment – Siemens Industrial Copilot. This product helps automation engineers speed up programmable logic controller (PLC) code programming, generating code with only natural language input, saving engineering teams a lot of time and reducing error rates.
“Ai solutions such as Industrial Copilot once again demonstrate Siemens’ strong commitment to integrating the physical and digital worlds.” Cedrik Neike, member of the Board of Directors of Siemens AG and CEO of Siemens Digital Industries, said: “Last year, we set out our vision to make artificial intelligence accessible, believing that this will bring great opportunities to the industry. Today, we are turning this vision into reality and actively promoting the great process of AI from concept to large-scale landing. “This is a disruptive change that goes well beyond engineering and industrial operations to help companies address challenges like labor shortages and climate change.”
