New features from Siemens Industrial Copilot help engineering
The Siemens Industrial Copilot for TIA Engineering automatically generates code in Structured Control Language (SCL) : TIA gets code suggestions directly from AI, eliminating the need for copy and paste AX460/100010/STD operations. Siemens Industrial Copilot can also interpret blocks of SCL code or guide and easily create virtual machines or factories in WinCC Unified. In addition, engineering teams can search the Siemens manual in natural language. Customers can choose to access a dedicated instance of the Azure OpenAI service that doesn’t require retraining models with customer data.
“Siemens makes automation easy. Siemens Industrial Copilot brings industrial generative AI to the shop floor and will become an integral part of future engineering processes. “By seamlessly connecting Industrial Copilot with TIA, Siemens is the first company to offer engineering-oriented generative AI products to industrial companies worldwide.” Rainer Brehm, CEO of Factory Automation at Siemens Digital Industries, said: “Industrial artificial intelligence is an important lever for merging the physical and digital worlds, alleviating skills shortages, increasing industrial productivity and accelerating sustainable development.”
AX460/100010/STD Siemens plans to introduce a full suite of generative AI-driven industrial assistants across the value chain to help transform the way companies design, plan, develop, engineer and work. Siemens is working with pilot customers and partners to advance generative AI assistant solutions in a variety of industries, including automotive, infrastructure, transportation, healthcare, manufacturing and mechanical engineering. Siemens Industrial Copilot for design, planning, engineering, operations and service will make human-computer interaction simple, fast and efficient.
