As one of the world’s leading companies in the field of industrial automation, informatization and digital transformation, Rockwell Automation launched the Shanghai Climate Week Initiative together with Lingang Group, HongKong Land, DTZ and Deloitte, and jointly hosted the Climate Lighthouse lighting ceremony and theme forum during the first Shanghai Climate Week on the 23rd at the Orbit Center on the West coast of Shanghai. With the theme of “Origin”, Rockwell and partners from all walks of life jointly announced the official opening of the long-term action of climate Lighthouse. Mr. Michael Adalla, Deputy Director of the United DKC10.3-018-3-MGP-01VRS Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Mr. Zou Rong, co-director of the Executive Committee of Shanghai Climate Week, and other guests delivered speeches, expressing their support and expectation for the action. Shi An, president of Rockwell Automation (China) Co., LTD., as one of the representatives of the initiator of the main initiative of the Climate Lighthouse Action, delivered the keynote speech of “Climate Lighthouse leads Sustainable development”, and explored the green transformation of the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain under the leadership of climate lighthouse with guests from all walks of life.
Qiyuan Lighthouse green digital intelligence innovation light up a better future
As the global green process continues to accelerate, a series of green “new winds” such as sustainable lighthouse factories, carbon neutrality in the value chain, energy-saving buildings, and green transportation continue to emerge, and drive the creation and landing of many emerging technologies. In order to support more partners to lock in the green development path and key technologies, and create more possibilities for sustainable development, the Climate Lighthouse Action focuses on four key areas of production and life: buildings, communities, manufacturing and supply chain, aiming to start from these four areas, and light up the bright future of mankind with green digital innovation.
As the opening work of this action, the New chapter of “Climate Beacon” : The Latest Insights on Cutting-edge Climate Change Technology (hereinafter referred to as the “White paper”) was launched at the event. DKC10.3-018-3-MGP-01VRS The white paper is directed by the Shanghai Climate Week Research Institute and compiled jointly by Rockwell, the Shanghai Academy of Quality Management Science, the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs, DTZ and the Global Smart City Conference, and draws on Deloitte’s leading industry insights and the conclusions of global research reports.
Against the background of climate urgency, technological disruptive innovation, and deep transformation of the whole industrial chain, the white paper elaborates on the definition of climate lighthouse, which represents a high-level practice of “enterprises to achieve a breakthrough in the upgrading of sustainability, production efficiency, and business efficiency through the collaborative transformation of digital green”. It also summarizes leading trends and identifies critical paths for climate lighthouses in four areas: buildings, communities, manufacturing, and supply chains. On the basis of macro guidance, the white paper focuses more on reality, and selects leading green practices in multiple industries from five dimensions: end-to-end value realization, measurable green low-carbon, scenario-based real use cases, revolutionary technological breakthroughs, and interactive innovation. In the future, Rockwell plans to work with partners to comb through the details of the case practices included in the white paper and compile them into a book to provide more upstream and downstream partners with green inspiration for reference.
