Overview
Essential details:RAI02J Redundant Analog Output module
The RAO02 Redundant Analog Output module processes up to 16 high-level, group isolated, analog output field signals. Each channel is independently configurable for either 4 to 20 mA or 1 to +5 VDC ranges. FC 221 (I/O Device Definition) sets AO module operating parameters and each output channel is configured using FC 223 (Analog Output CH) to set indivdual output channel parameters such as engineering units, High/Low Alarm limits, default value in event of loss of communication with controller, etc.
D/A resolution of each channel is 12 bits. The RAO02 module has one D/A converter for each output channel.
In current mode, the RAO02 module supports HART v5.4 instruments and provides short circuit protection by limiting current to a maximum of 26 mA. The RAO02 module will also detect an open circuit in less than 5 seconds.

RAI02J Redundant Analog Output module
Product Description
The sD series l/0 product family includes DiN Rail horizontally or vertically mounted digital and analog modules, as wellas integration withinteligent field devices and protocols.Hardwire 1/0 and fieldbus l/0 coexist and use the same function block library to buildrealtime controlapplications.
Traditional SD series analog input modules interface with field inputs such as pressure and fiow transmitter sianals, thermocouple inputs andresistive temperature device (RTD) inputs. Analog output modules provide output signals to adjust final control elements such as controlvalves, positioners, actuators, etc.sDseries digitalinput modules have input channels to read the states of switches, relay contacts, solenoidsetc. Digital output modules provide output channels for DC or AC switching applications.
The digital outputs can be used to drive annunciators and to drive two-state final control elements such as actuators, relays, and solenoids. ForSD Series Diaitall/0, each channel can be individuall configured as an s0E (seguence of Events) point This flexiblity removes the cost andcomplexity of assigning additional digitalinputs as soE in the field. soE with 1 msec timestampis avalable across the entire system whetherthe l/o is local or remotely located.
