At HANnover MESSE 2024, Bosch Rexroth, together with its partners, presented numerous new products in the field of factory automation and hydraulics.
At HANnover MESSE 2024, Bosch Rexroth is showcasing solutions from the fields of factory automation and hydraulics to help companies in all sectors achieve their growth and sustainability goals. For example, Bosch Rexroth has developed customized solutions for an economical hydrogen infrastructure through cooperation with partners in the hydrogen industry. The company uses its new actuators to electrify and digitize all safety-related movements at depths of up to 4,000 meters for purposes such as offshore storage of carbon dioxide or temporary storage of green hydrogen. In today’s market environment, it is no longer possible for one company to do everything on its own; open solutions and co-creation are the key. With ctrlX AUTOMATION Automation and ctrlX World partner network, Bosch Rexroth demonstrates the role of openness in the field of automation.
P72140-4-0788740 CTI21 Efficient compression: Drive solutions for economical hydrogen infrastructure
At Hannover MESSE 2024, Bosch Rexroth is presenting its components and products for hydrogen refueling stations that reduce refueling times and enable them to operate in a cost-effective manner. For example, in partnership with FirstElement Fuel, which leads commercial operations in the US, Bosch Rexroth has developed a cryogenic pump capable of compressing 600 kg of liquid hydrogen per hour. With it, heavy commercial vehicles can be refueled directly and within minutes. In addition, Bosch Rexroth offers other drive solutions for gaseous and liquid hydrogen compression.
H4U software platform: Digital hydraulic system for great flexibility
With the H4U software platform, machinery and system manufacturers can easily implement hydraulic functions independently of hardware. They can use H4U applications with familiar engineering tools or with existing control hardware to reduce costs and engineering effort. Bosch Rexroth’s hydraulic know-how integrated into the software platform provides a wide range of hydraulic functions in any corner of the market. At the same time, Bosch Rexroth is continuing to expand the range of capabilities of the software platform through other H4U applications.
P72140-4-0788740 CTI21 Big to simple: Electric drive actuators (deep sea valves) that reduce the operating costs of offshore engineering systems
In CO2 offshore storage and green hydrogen temporary storage applications, valves will be used to regulate the controlled flow of process gases and fluids. The newly developed eSEA actuator with a 24 V low voltage (DC) power supply is an economical alternative to traditional and energy intensive hydraulic systems. Bosch Rexroth has now added the eSEA Push actuator for linear motion and the eSEA Drive for extremely high Torque applications above 35 kNm to its eSEA Torque, which has won several international technical awards. This means that all movements required for valve control can be controlled and performed safely, reliably and fully electrically underwater through standardized interfaces.
