IC698PSA350 Leading the new wave of AI embedded
At the just-concluded 2024 embedded world International Embedded Exhibition in Germany, embedded manufacturers from all over the world released their latest technologies and products at the conference site: embedded industry giants are actively embracing AI and open source, and the integration of AI has brought higher performance and lower costs to embedded devices.
At the conference, AMD announced the expansion of the AMD Versal™ Adaptive System-on-chip (SoC) portfolio, as well as the new Versal AI Edge family and Versal Prime family of adaptive SOCs that integrate pre-processing, AI inference and post-processing into a single device. Provides end-to-end acceleration for AI-driven embedded systems.
The second generation is expected to increase TOPS per watt by up to three times compared to the original generation, while the new high-performance integrated Arm® CPU is expected to deliver up to 10 times more scalar computing power than the first generation Versal AI Edge and Versal Prime family of devices.
“The demand for AI embedded applications is exploding and driving the need for single-chip solutions that achieve the most efficient end-to-end acceleration within the power consumption and board area limits of IC698PSA350 embedded systems,” said Salil Raje, senior vice president and general manager of AMD’s Adaptive and Embedded Computing group.
Infineon showcased its robotics development platform, which provides developers with innovative and efficient robot design through a one-stop hardware and software integration solution, as well as AI-based alarm detection for autonomous vehicles with integrated MEMS microphones, MCUS and AI software, demonstrating its cutting-edge technology in improving road safety.
