2711-K6C16 The Yangtze River Delta is one of the regions with the most active economic development, the highest degree of openness and the strongest innovation capacity in China, and its regional economic aggregate will exceed 30 trillion yuan in 2023. The construction of computing infrastructure is of great significance for supporting regional economic development, and it is necessary to actively undertake the real-time computing needs of the metropolitan areas of the Yangtze River Delta, focusing on meeting the high-frequency real-time interactive hot data business needs such as video calling, industrial Internet, financial securities, vehicle networking, disaster warning, telemedicine, and artificial intelligence reasoning.
The 2024 Yangtze River Delta Computing Infrastructure Construction Summit Forum was successfully held in Shanghai on April 26. With the theme of “Computing Power Leading, Industrial Innovation”, this forum will exchange and discuss the paths and methods of relying on computing power network and digital technology, giving full play to the potential of data elements, and realizing the functional scenarios of data information computing, storage, transmission, acceleration, display, and application. As a leader in the field of electrification, ABB was invited to participate in the forum, and Jiang Ying, head of digital business of ABB Electric China, delivered a keynote speech – “Computing power + Energy Collaborative Optimization to help green low-carbon transformation of data centers”.
Jiang Ying pointed out that the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of data centers requires deep collaboration between computing power and energy, deep exploration of energy space based on the load characteristics of data centers, accurate matching of the optimal input capacity and load through optimization mechanism algorithms, dynamic balance of source and load, and further sharing and optimizing asset allocation. At the same time, the computing load and cooling system are jointly optimized to further improve the energy efficiency of the data center, while establishing the flexible adjustment ability of the data center load, and exploring the practice path of “production and consumption” data center.
2711-K6C16 ABB’s speech received extensive attention and praise from experts and enterprises attending the meeting. Experts attending the meeting said that ABB’s innovative technologies and solutions in the field of electrification have provided strong support for the construction of computing infrastructure in the Yangtze River Delta region, and have important reference significance for promoting the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of data centers.
In the data center area, ABB has always been customer-centric, providing flexible “one-stop” solutions: It can provide intelligent energy solutions for chaifa mutual aid and source load interaction, complete pre-installed power distribution solutions, and can also sell diversified medium-voltage and low-voltage switchgear in complete sets, and even develop customized DC solutions by providing electrical components and cooperating with domestic Oems. Thanks to ABB’s complete product chain from grid access to the end link, as well as the targeted software application development and equipment supporting for customers, ABB data center solutions have been adopted by large data centers and computing infrastructure in various industries in China, making it a well-deserved preferred partner for many enterprises.
The 2024 Yangtze River Delta Computing Infrastructure Construction Forum is guided by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and co-sponsored by Shanghai Economic and Information Development Research Center and Shanghai Computing Network Association. Based in Shanghai and facing the Yangtze River Delta, the forum is united with the government departments in charge of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui, industry experts and scholars, computing industry benchmarking enterprises and digital technology representative enterprises.
