Recently, Beijing Hollysys Systems Engineering Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “Hollysys”) announced the successful signing of the MTR Lantau Railway Network expansion contract 1259 Main control System project (hereinafter referred to as “1259 Project”), which will add new impetus to the construction of the MTR in Hong Kong.

Project 1259 is an important part of Hong Kong’s urban rail transit development, which aims to create an efficient and intelligent urban infrastructure and improve the quality of life of the people. The project scope includes 3 existing extension lines, namely: East Rail Line (KTU), Tuen Ma Line (TMS at Tuen Mun South Station, A16 at District 16 Station, HSK at Hung Shui Kiu Station), Tung Chung Line (TCE at Tung Chung East Station, TCW at Tung Chung West Station, TCA at Tung Chung Annex, TUC/TUT Tung Chung Station/Tung Chung Traction Substation, Siu Ho Wan Station OYB, Siu Ho Wan Depot SHD). This project achieved the first breakthrough of Hollysys master control system software in Hong Kong MTR integrated monitoring project.

On May 13, the signing ceremony of the 1259 project was held in Hong Kong. The relevant leaders of the MTR Corporation Limited and Beijing Hollysys System Engineering Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony. The signing of this project fully demonstrates the customer’s high recognition of Hollysys and the company’s products, and will further enhance Hollysys’s international influence in the field of rail transit.

The master control system of the project covers a series of service contents such as demand design, development and manufacturing, installation and testing, implementation and delivery, and provides a total of three operational lines – the East Rail Line, Tung Chung Line and Tuen Ma Line extension, the master control system of the new station and the Tung Chung Line SHD depot, and the MCS master control system of the renovation of Tung Chung Station and its ancillary buildings. The control system of this project adopts Hollysys high-performance and high-reliability independent PLC to realize real-time centralized monitoring and intelligent control. The use of international standards for industrial automation and control system security and information technology network security further ensures adequate security in the design, implementation and operation of the system.
