In the Nvidia conference call, Nvidia (executive Kress) said that Blackwell chip capacity is running at full capacity. Both H200 and Blackwell chips are in short supply and will likely remain so until 2025, believing that sovereign AI will grow from worthless to a multi-billion dollar market.
LG1093AA24 Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang said on a conference call that the next industrial revolution has already begun. (Reiterate) Artificial intelligence (AI) will bring noticeable productivity gains to “virtually every industry.”
Huang stressed that reasoning workloads are growing “significantly”, that electronic computing (computers) are switching from retrieving information to producing skills, and that Blackwell chips are “producing at full capacity”. “We’re going to see a lot of Blackwell chip revenue this year (in earnings reports). Blackwell chip products shipped in the current quarter, increased production in the third quarter, and shipped to the data center in the fourth quarter.”
LG1093AA24 Huang said customers were putting a lot of pressure on Nvidia over delivery systems – demand was just too high and outstripping supply. There are about 15,000-20,000 generative AI startups in many fields. They’re all waiting to become Nvidia customers to train models on Nvidia chips, and “we’re all competing.”
